Commit To Your Training

Last week, we had the opportunity to catch up with Dino Infanti: one of the members at Innovative Fitness Vancouver (Four Seasons), to find out what it is about training at Innovative Fitness that keeps him coming back for more.

We were curious to get to know a little more about his training background and where he sees himself heading, from a health and fitness standpoint, in the coming years.

Dino let us know that Innovative Fitness was actually his first experience working with a coach for exercise. Now, it is fairly common that someone who has used a coach in the past would use one again in the future, but we are always curious to learn what initially drives people to reach out for some professional guidance. Dino’s reason for reaching out? He was “lacking motivation and confidence in the types of exercises [he] should be doing for his goals.”

Since signing up for personal training and having now worked with his coaches for several months we asked Dino “what are the differences you’ve noticed between working with a coach versus working out on your own. Dino’s response: “Motivation, motivation, motivation. I book each training session as an appointment in my calendar and treat it like any other meeting.” Also, the confidence that comes from the coaches’ “focus on form to ensure that I am maximizing each exercise.”

The obvious question, now that Dino has seen some solid changes and dramatically increased his “gym knowledge”: why does he keep coming back? In his own words: “I like the results that I am seeing, the guidance, and the professionalism” of the coaches. “Also, we have fun when we train!”

Not only has Dino made some solid improvements in the gym, but he has also successfully managed to translate some of those skills into the real world. He says he is “much more aware of [his] posture and small windows of opportunity to fit some simple exercises” into his daily routine.

Through committing to his training sessions just as he would any other professional appointment and applying the guidance from his coaches both in and out of the gym, Dino has made some dramatic improvements in his overall well-being. What IF you could?
