I starting working with Shane M as a coach in Jan 2024. When I first met him, he took the time to understand my goals and why I wanted to start a workout program. Shane has an incredible amount of knowledge, especially with his primary training as a Physiotherapist which further increases my trust in him. Shane tailored my workout program based on my goals and ability. He ensures that I have the correct form and technique to prevent injuries, which elevated my confidence in the gym. Shane also ensures that I am not "cheating" and challenges me to push myself when the time is right, never overdoing it. He has a good sense on when to increase the difficulty level for each exercises. When I injured myself during my routine morning run (not at the gym), Shane immediately adopted my workout program to include rehab for my ankle. This was tremendously helpful as I was apprehensive that any exercises would reinjure the ankle. But Shane was very supportive and reassured me with his knowledge and a plan of action for me to overcome the injury. An additional bonus is Shane and other coaches at IF are FUN. They have fun with their clients, fun with each other, and most of them don't take themselves too seriously. I hated and never felt comfortable at the traditional gym environment where there are a lot of "bros". IF is different, I felt Shane and other coaches are truly supportive of all the client. I've had the opportunity to work with other coaches (Olivia and Deandre) and both have been great. RESULTS! Since I started working with Shane, I've noticed positive changes in my physical health. I started going to Innovative Fitness when my son was 18 months old and have now been working out with Shane and Angus for almost five months. I was so happy with the results that I convinced my husband to join and we are both feeling stronger and more in shape. Shane and Angus are very intentional about each individual workout—balancing how we feel on that day and always pushing us to progress.
