Kayaking With Eagles on the Harrison River

Harrison Lake is one the biggest and coldest lakes in the Southern Coast Mountain region of British Columbia. The small town of Harrison Hot Springs sits right along its shore. It is here the journey down the Harrison River begins.

The Harrison River drains the lake and is a major contributor to the Fraser River. It hosts a large number of fish species, resulting in an impressive salmon run every fall. And with the salmon migration, the eagles are sure to follow.

Thousands of eagles can be seen along the Harrison River as they hunt the shallow waters for spawning salmon.

It is this spectacular event that Innovative Fitness Abbotsford will be out to experience on October 2nd. Guided by Canadian Olympic Team Sport Psychologist (and the new owner of Innovative Fitness Walnut Grove) Roger Friesen, we will make our way from Harrison Hot Springs down to Kilby Beach at Harrison Mills. Come take in the majestic scenery as we paddle down the river to Eagle Ally where the real show begins.
