At the southern tip of South America lies a vast and wild land called Patagonia. This iconic territory is located at the “end of the earth” and spans both Argentina and Chile. These lands are home to jagged and crisp mountain peaks, enormous glaciers & ice fields, as well as some extraordinary wild life. The abundance of extreme elements and super-natural environments is what has captured the imagination and curiosity of explorers for centuries. It is an impossible landscape to tame and as a result, nature runs the show. Patagonia is one of the last truly wild places on earth.
Of course, Innovative Fitness will be going there.
This adventure will consist of many different activities. We will visit Magdalena Island, which is protected and inhabited by humans. This Island is home to around 60,000 Magallenic breeding pairs of penguins!
As we continue our journey we will embark on the W-circuit in Torres Del Paine National Park. During this 4-day hike we will cover around 40 kilometres and see some of Patagonia’s grandest mountain ranges. This includes the Hornes of Paine, the Towers, the French Valley and Mount Fitz Roy. We will trek through craggy mountain ranges and lush forests to be rewarded with some breathtaking views!
Another cool experience will be exploring the Perito Moreno Glacier. This enormous Patagonian ice field is over 5 kilometres wide, 30 kilometres long and is the 3rd largest freshwater source in the world. We will strap on crampons and head onto the glacier for a unique hike that will lead us through various ice caves and crevasses.
Later on we will stop by a quaint but culturally rich town called El Chalten. This town is a must-see: it remains authentic and is surrounded by a gorgeous 360 degree view of scenic mountains. Located in Glacier National Park, the town offers easy access to many trail heads that are a walking distance away. These lead to some great hikes into the mountains such as Laguna De Los Tres and The Lomo Del Pliegue Tombado.
I love being outdoors with all the elements; the challenge will always drive me to pursue the reward of accomplishing a great adventure. This is the reason I have decided to organize the trip of a lifetime. After doing more and more research, Patagonia seemed like the most beautiful place to go see. This is my vision and passion and I would like to share the experience with you!
